None of this would exist if she had thrown the folder away

Hey Reader, Dr Karl here.

She kept every sheet
None of this would exist if she had thrown the folder away.

Everything I have told you over the last few weeks
came out of a manila folder my wife kept in a filing cabinet.
Eighteen years of lab reports, collected one visit at a time.
When we asked one of those doctors at that time for her records, we were told they could not be located,
even though by law they were required to keep them for seven years from the date of service.

That is the uncomfortable truth of this entire story.
The only complete copy of her medical history existed because she asked for the printout every single time
and for her file.
Yours works the same way. Your file is complete only if you are the one keeping it.
Judi's experience exposed us to raw reality of health care in the US, what isn't covered, what isn't evaluated or medically pursued. It forced us to make a choice, to determine how important our health is, how to assess it monitor it. We learned it was our responsibility to 'get more comprehensive labwork' on ourselves on a regular basis. that's the key.
That's why I run four panels on most the people I work with initially, some choose not to all of them:
1. A longevity /vitality blood panel of more than forty markers created by me over the years.
2. SpectraCell intracellular micronutrients,
which shows what is actually inside the cell rather than floating past it in serum.
3. A DUTCH hormone panel.
4. And a genomic report built from raw data you may already have
(from 23&me or ancestry.com).
On top your food diary logged in Cronometer, and a continuous glucose monitor when needed.

From that context of lab results look for patterns unique to you.
It is not a marker by marker against a printed range, which is the reading that failed my wife three times in one year.
But against twelve years of collective data from my all clients
as represented in the now thousands scatter plots that have come out of that.
Had any of the doctors who saw Judi looked at her lab results this way,
things would have undoubtedly turned out differently.

Can you image if Just one of them did something like this,
we would be asking different questions, recommending different treatments and it's all easy to do.

Here's the full story:
to your health.

Hey Reader, Dr Karl here. Higher is not always better, but too low is most common. The marker where both ends raise your mortality IGF-1 is not a score. It is an instruction. Growth hormone leaves the pituitary, reaches the liver, and the liver answers by producing IGF-1. That IGF-1 then goes out to bone, to muscle, to the brain, to the heart, and fat cells as well ... and to every cell in your body with the same message: build, repair, divide, do not die yet. You can see why people assume...

Hey Reader, Dr Karl here. Six doors, one opened. The scanner existed the whole time. Six specialists saw my wife between 2008 and 2013. Five of them referred her onward. Not one of them ordered an image until the sixth. Here is the sequence. A Naturopathic Doctor recommended two tests to ask her doctor for:IGF-1 and growth hormone. Her gynecologist orders the only the first one but not the second. The IGF-1 comes back very high at 254. She cannot interpret it, and refers on. An endocrinologist...

Hey Reader, Dr Karl here. What I think is happening, and what I cannot prove.I ruled things out before I landed anywhere. Was her blood sugar getting worse? No. Glucose fell 16 points over the four years and direct monitoring agreed. Was she iron deficient, which genuinely does distort A1c? No. Serum iron fell from 105 to 85, but ferritin nearly doubled, 160 to 288. That is not depletion. Was it a lipid shift? No. HDL went 58, 63, 76, 64. It wandered and came back. It cannot explain a...
